Weather (Pokémon GO)

Weather in Pokémon GO is based on real-world weather conditions and has in-game effects and bonuses.

Each weather condition boosts one or more Pokémon types in the following ways:

  • Pokémon of the boosted type will appear more frequently in wild.
  • Wild Pokémon have an IV floor of 4/4/4.
  • All Pokémon have their level increased by 5. Wild weather boosted Pokémon levels will be in the range of 6 to 35, instead of 1 to 30.
  • Pokémon caught in raids will be level 25 instead of level 20.
  • Pokémon caught after completing a Team GO Rocket battle will be level 13 instead of level 8.
  • All Pokémon will award 1.25× Stardust when captured.
  • Attacks of the boosted type will do 20% more damage (excluding the GO Battle League).
