Top Counters (Solo Strategy)

Walking Wake

Iron Hands @ Booster Energy

Strategy: Use Belly Drum to max out your Attack stat on turn 1 and heal up with Drain Punch on turn 2. After that, set up an Electric Terrain or use Charge to boost Electric Type Attacks. From there use Thunder Punch to dish out damage and Drain Punch to heal up when needed. Terastalize as soon as possible.

Miraidon @ Weakness Policy

Strategy: Use Metallic Sound on turns 1 and 2 to drop Walking Wake's Special Defense. Use Charge on turn 3 to boost Parabolic Charge on turn 4. This should fully recover any HP you may have lost. On the next turn, use Charge again and from there use Electro Drift to dish out damage and Parabolic Charge to heal up if needed. Terastalize as soon as possible.

Iron Leaves

Kingambit @ Electric Seed

Strategy: Use Swords Dance on Turns 1-3 to max your Attack stat. From there, use Kowtow Kleave to dish out damage. Terastalize as soon as possible. Iron Leaves will set up Electric Terrain, so use this to your advantage by giving your Kingambit an Electric Seed to boost your own Defense stat.

Scizor @ Scope Lens

Strategy: Use Swords Dance on turns 1-3 to max your Attack stat. Then use Focus Energy to boost your critical hit rate. From there use X-Scissor to dish out damage. You'll need to rely on other party members for healing. Terastalize as soon as possible.

Additional Information

You can enter a Tera Raid to battle the Pokémon that is exclusive to the counterpart game by participating in online raids through the Poké Portal.

Walking Wake and Iron Leaves currently have no other method of being encountered in any game, so make sure to add them to your collection during this Tera Raid Event. However, the official event announcement leaves open the possibility of other availability in the future.

If you've already caught them in a previous raid event, you won’t be able to catch them again, but you’ll still receive all the other raid rewards, such as XP Candy, Tera Shards, and other items.
