Table of contents

Spooky season is upon us trainers — part one of Pokémon GO’s Halloween event is about to begin! From Tuesday, October 22 at 10:00 a.m. local time until Monday, October 28 at 10:00 a.m. local time, Pokémon GO will be filled with all sorts of tricks and treats. Let’s review what to expect.

Morpeko Pokémon Debut

will be making its Pokémon GO debut and changing the way we battle, as it was announced that certain Pokémon, such as Morpeko, will be able to change form in battle each time it uses a Charged Attack. Initially, Morpeko will only be able to change forms when battling Team GO Rocket or in the GO Battle League, but we’re so excited to add this Pikachu clone to our Pokédex and see how its different forms can be used in battle. Check out below to see which unique forms and moves can be used.

Aura Wheel (Electric)

  • Morpeko will know the Charged Attack Aura Wheel (Electric) while it's in Full Belly Mode.
  • Trainer Battles: 100 power, increases the user’s Attack by one stage

Aura Wheel (Dark)

  • Morpeko will know the Charged Attack Aura Wheel (Dark) while it's in Hangry Mode.
  • Trainer Battles: 100 power, increases the user’s Attack by one stage

You’ll have plenty of opportunities to get your hands on Morpeko, as the Electric/Dark mouse will be available in reward encounters throughout the season in the GO Battle League. During the event, Morpeko will be encountered more frequently in the premium track of the GO Battle League. Never fear though, as after the event, starting at Rank 16, Morpeko will be encountered in both GO Battle League reward tracks, but more frequently in the premium track.
