Time and Date
Road to Unova starts on Monday, February 24, at 10:00 a.m. and ends on Saturday, March 1, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. local time.
Get your Tour Pass ahead of Pokémon GO Tour: Unova – Global!
The Tour Pass is a free, limited-time progression track during Pokémon GO Tour: Unova that offers ranked rewards and bonuses. By completing Pass Tasks and collecting Tour Points, you can collect rewards, increase your rank, and improve your event bonuses.
All Trainers will automatically receive their Tour Pass at no cost on Monday, February 24, at 10:00 a.m. local time. You can collect Tour Points and rank up for additional rewards through the end of Pokémon GO Tour: Unova on Sunday, March 2, at 6:00 p.m. local time.
A paid version of the Tour Pass, called Tour Pass Deluxe, will be available for Trainers looking for upgraded rewards and faster progression. When you upgrade to Tour Pass Deluxe, you’ll earn an automatic encounter with the Mythical Pokémon 
Victini! All Trainers can encounter Victini with a Tour Pass Deluxe, even if they’ve caught it before!
Trainers with the Tour Pass Deluxe will also have the chance to rank up to the highest tier where they can earn a brand new item, the Lucky Trinket!

Shiny Meloetta makes its Pokémon GO debut!
It’s music to our ears—for the first time in Pokémon GO, Trainers will be able to encounter Shiny 
Meloetta! A ticket for Masterwork Research that leads to an encounter with Shiny Meloetta will be made available to purchase globally at the start of the Road to Unova event!
Tickets will be available for purchase in the in-game shop for US$4.99 (or the equivalent pricing tier in your local currency, plus any applicable taxes and fees) from Monday, February 24, at 10:00 a.m. to Sunday, March 2, 2025, at 6:00 p.m. local time. Tickets cannot be purchased with PokéCoins. Tickets to this event are nonrefundable (subject to applicable law and the exceptions set forth in the Terms of Service).
*Masterwork Research does not expire, so you can complete it at your own pace!
Road to Unova Paid Tickets
Enhance your Unova adventure with event tickets! Enjoy additional bonuses, event-themed Timed Research, and new avatar items—perfect for Trainers who want to make the most of this Unova celebration. Trainers taking part in Pokémon GO Tour: Unova – Global on March 1 and 2 can take advantage of these ticket bonuses throughout the event weekend!
Plus, don’t forget that you can gift tickets to your Pokémon GO friends and share the fun!
These tickets will be available for purchase from Monday, February 24, at 10:00 a.m. to Sunday, March 2, 2025, at 6:00 p.m. local time. Trainers can purchase either one or both of these tickets. Each ticket features Timed Research tasks, rewards, and bonuses.

Please note that purchases—including those made for other Trainers—are non-refundable (subject to applicable law and the exceptions set forth in the Terms of Service). Tickets cannot be purchased with PokéCoins.
The Road to Unova tickets will only be available for purchase from Monday, February 24, at 10:00 a.m. to Sunday, March 2, 2025, at 6:00 p.m. local time. Bonuses will remain active until Sunday, March 2, 2025, at 6:00 p.m. local time.

The following Pokémon will appear in raids. Pokémon appearing in five-star raids will also be featured in a Raid Hour from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. local time for one day each on the following schedule.

Genesect encountered in raids will know their respective Charged Attack:

New Special Backgrounds!
Trainers who participate in five-star raids during the Road to Unova event will have a chance of receiving new Special Backgrounds after making a successful catch. These souvenir backgrounds will appear on the Pokémon’s summary page, showing when the Pokémon was caught and commemorating your adventures leading up to Pokémon GO Tour!
The Road to Unova event will feature two Special Backgrounds for you to collect—one inspired by Pokémon Black Version and one inspired by Pokémon White Version.
- Cobalion, Terrakion, Virizion,
Therian Forme Landorus, and 
Genesect can have either background. 
Therian Forme Tornadus and Reshiram can have a background inspired by Pokémon Black Version
Therian Forme Thundurus and Zekrom can have a background inspired by Pokémon White Version.
Plus, when you fuse a Zekrom or Reshiram that has a Special Background with a 
Kyurem that has a Special Background of the opposite color, available during Pokémon GO Tour: Unova – Global, the fused 
Black Kyurem or 
White Kyurem will have its own variant background!
Eggs
The following Pokémon will hatch from

Event Bonuses
1/2 Egg Hatch Distance when Eggs are placed in an Incubator during the event period.
The 
Remote Raid Pass limit will be increased to 20 from Monday, February 24 to Friday, February 28, 2025.
There will be no limit on Remote Raids from Saturday, March 1, to Sunday, March 2, 2025.
Timed Research
Pokémon GO Tour: Unova–themed Timed Research will be available.
Complete the research tasks to earn encounters with event-themed Pokémon, obtained in the following order.

All Trainers will be able to get Pokémon GO Tour: Unova–themed stickers from PokéStops and Gifts from Monday, February 24, at 9:00 a.m. to Sunday, March 2, at 8:00 p.m. local time. These stickers will also be available in the in-game shop from Friday, February 21, at 9:00 a.m. to Sunday, March 2, at 8:00 p.m. local time.
A Visual Update to the Pokédex
Get ready for a new way to navigate and experience the Pokédex in Pokémon GO!
The Pokédex is getting a comprehensive visual update just in time for your GO Tour: Unova collection adventures!
These changes are aimed at helping Trainers more easily identify which Pokémon they already possess and which Pokémon they’ve yet to collect. Take advantage of the updates to help make sure you’ve caught all available Pokémon during GO Tour: Unova—and beyond!
Update to Pokémon Encounters
Prepare for more Pokémon encounters ahead of Pokémon GO Tour: Unova!
In efforts to improve access to gameplay for Trainers in the lead up to GO Tour: Unova, you may notice Pokémon appearing in a greater variety of areas.
With this update, Pokémon will appear in even more places than before. In densely populated, rural, suburban, or rapidly expanding areas, this may increase the number of both Pokémon encounters and areas where Pokémon appear overall.
