5-Star Raids
Moltres, Thundurus (Incarnate Forme), and Xerneas will be in Five-Star Raids during August 2024.

Shadow Suicune will be appearing in Shadow Raids during the weekends in August.
Community Days
There will be two community days in August.
August Community Day Classic
The August Community Day Classic will occur on Sunday, August 18, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time. The featured Pokémon has not yet been revealed.
August Community Day
The August Community Day will occur on Saturday, August 31, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time. Popplio will be the featured Pokémon for this event.
Adventure Week
Pokémon GO: Adventure Week 2024 will run from August 2 at 10:00 a.m. to August 12 at 11:59 p.m. local time. This event will feature Fossil-themed Pokémon such as Cranidos, Tyrunt, and Amaura.
Adventure Week: Taken Over
From August 8 at 12:00 a.m. to August 12 at 11:59 p.m. local time Team Rocket will be taking over the last few days of the Adventure Week event.
Shadow Raid Weekend
On August 10 and August 11, from 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. local time, a special Shadow Raid boss will appear in gyms.
2024 Pokémon World Championships
The 2024 Pokémon World Championships will occur from August 16 to August 18 in Honolulu, Hawaiʻi. During the competition, there will be a championship series for all competitive Pokémon games, including the TCG, VGC, Unite, and, of course, Pokémon GO.
GO Battle Week: Shared Skies
Overlapping the Pokémon World Championships will be a GO Battle week. The Shared Skies GO Battle Week will occur from August 16 to August 20 from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
