          Sparkling pink and baby blue!

January 2025 ended with some exciting news for Pokémon players who use Pokémon HOME to store their beloved monsters and manage their collection.

The shiny versions of the legendary genie Enamorus and the mythical seafarer Manaphy are now available as mystery gifts in Pokémon HOME as part of a series of Pokédex completion rewards.

The Fairy and Flying-type Pokémon Enamorus was introduced in the Generation 8 game Pokémon Legends: Arceus. For Enamorus, this marks the first time it has ever been available as a shiny! Players can also transfer their new shiny Enamorus to a compatible Pokémon game on the Nintendo Switch, where using the Reveal Glass it can be changed into its Therian Form, which has a separate Pokédex entry that can also be filled with the shiny version now.

Meanwhile, the shiny version of the Water-type Manaphy was previously available on the Nintendo DS, but only to the most dedicated players. They had to receive a special Manaphy egg through a unique mission in the Pokémon Ranger games, transfer it to their Generation 4 Pokémon games, and then exploit a glitch to bypass the shiny lock on the egg.

Requirements for Unlocking Mystery Gifts for Pokédex Completion

To receive mystery gifts in general, you need to have the Pokémon HOME mobile app installed and your HOME account linked to a Nintendo Profile.

To claim the latest mystery gifts, you must complete the respective Pokédexes:

          • Sinnoh Pokédex in Pokémon Brilliant Diamond / Shining Pearl (BDSP) for Shiny Manaphy
          • Hisui Pokédex in Pokémon Legends: Arceus (PLA) for Shiny Enamorus

Only Pokémon originating from the respective game count toward the completion of these Pokédexes.

          Get shiny Manaphy!

The Sinnoh Pokédex consists of 150 entries. You do not need to register any Mythical Pokémon, and Pokémon found in post-game Areas are excluded.

The main challenge is obtaining version-exclusive Pokémon, particularly the Legendary Dialga or Palkia. Using the Global Trade System (GTS) in Pokémon HOME can help fill these gaps.

For non-Legendary Pokémon, you can also breed with Ditto at the daycare using a Pokémon from another origin. The egg will hatch into the same species but will be registered as originating from BDSP.

          Version-exclusive Poémon in BDSP

Once you complete the Game Dex challenge, a crown will appear next to the number of registered Pokémon, and you’ll receive a message from Grand Oak congratulating you. As a reward, you can now claim your Shiny Manaphy by opening the main menu, going to the mystery gift section and heading there to the gift box.

The gifted Manaphy will always have HOME as its Original Trainer with the ID 250128. It comes in a Cherish Ball at level 50 with a Souvenir Ribbon and has a calm nature. The info will also say, that Manaphy was met in the Sinnoh region in a fateful encounter, giving it the origin mark for BDSP.

          Get shiny Enamorus!

The Hisui Pokédex includes 242 Pokémon, and while all required Pokémon can be obtained within a single game, the real challenge lies elsewhere.

To catch the Mythical Pokémon Manaphy, Phione, and Arceus, you must fully complete the game. Additionally, you need save files from Brilliant Diamond / Shining Pearl (BDSP) and Sword / Shield (SwSh) on your Nintendo Switch Profile to unlock exclusive missions in Pokémon Legends: Arceus. These missions allow you to encounter Shaymin (#241) and Darkrai (#242).

Mythical Pokémon cannot be traded via the Global Trade System (GTS), but trading with a friend can help bypass this restriction.
