Requirements for Unlocking Mystery Gifts for Pokédex Completion

To receive mystery gifts in general, you need to have the 

To claim the latest mystery gifts, you must complete the respective Pokédexes:

Pokémon: Let’s Go, Pikachu! / Let’s Go, Eevee! 

 (SwSh), including the DLC Dexes of The Isle of Armor and The Crown Tundra for Shiny 

Only Pokémon originating from the respective game count toward the completion of these Pokédexes.

The Kanto Pokédex in LGPE contains 150 entries. You don’t need to register the Mythical Pokémon 

, which can be obtained as a gift through the Pokéball Plus. It’s also not necessary to get the Alolan Forms of certain Pokémon.

The biggest challenge in completing this Pokédex is obtaining the version-exclusive Pokémon. The Global Trade System (GTS) in 

 won’t assist in this case. While you can transfer Pokémon from 

 games, they won’t count toward the Game Pokédex, as their origin will still be 

. Additionally, the breeding mechanic is not available in these games.

Version-exclusive Poémon in LGPE

Once you complete the Game Dex challenge, a crown will appear next to the number of registered Pokémon, and you’ll receive a message from Grand Oak congratulating you. As a reward, you can now claim your Shiny

 by opening the main menu, going to the mystery gift section and heading there to the gift box.

If a Pokémon appears in both the main game’s Pokédex and a DLC region’s Pokédex, it only needs to be registered once to unlock both entries. Additionally, the Mythical Pokémon

 at the daycare, allowing the resulting egg to hatch a Pokémon of the same species but with an origin in SwSh.

For legendary Pokémon, this isn’t possible, so using the Global Trade System (GTS) to trade for missing legendaries can help. However, obtaining legendaries like

To unlock the current mystery gift, you must complete all Game Pokédexes for 

 (SV). This includes the Pokédexes for Paldea, Kitakami, and the Blueberry Academy. A Game Pokédex only registers Pokémon from that specific game.

The Paldea Pokédex has 400 entries, while the DLC regions add even more: Kitakami’s Pokédex contains 200 additional entries, and the Blueberry Academy adds 240 more.

However, if a Pokémon appears in both the main Pokédex and a DLC Pokédex, it only needs to be registered once to unlock both entries. Additionally, you don’t need to register the Mythical Pokémon 

, as these were only available during special Tera Raid events.

, as with most other games in the series, there are version-exclusive Pokémon. For non-legendary Pokémon, you can breed a Pokémon from a different origin with a 

 at the daycare to get a hatchling that has the same species but originates from 

. However, this method doesn’t work for legendary Pokémon. 

To complete your Pokédex, you can use the Global Trade System (GTS) to trade for missing Pokémon. While it’s possible to obtain a second specimen of the box-art legendary 

 to trade for their counterpart, acquiring version-exclusive Paradox legendaries like 

 (available only in the DLC) may be more challenging.
