The default duration for Incense is 60 minutes, but this time limit can be modified by certain in-game events such as Community Days, or by pausing time with Origin Forme Dialga's Roar of Time Adventure Effect.
The 
Daily Adventure Incense behaves differently than this Incense, with a default duration of just 15 minutes.
How to Get Incense
Incense is always available in the shop, but there are also ways to earn it by playing the game, such as Poké Stop Showcases.

How to Use Incense
To use an Incense in Pokémon GO, tap the Poké Ball menu, then tap "Items" to open your inventory. Next, select Incense and confirm you'd like to use it by tapping again to apply the trainer boost.
Once applied, you can see the remaining Incense duration displayed on the Incense icon on the right side of your screen.
